Westford Schools: Give Your Kids a Top Quality Public Education

One of the biggest reasons new families move into Westford, MA is the quality of the public school system.  It is also one of the reasons Westford real estate has retained its value while many other towns are losing value.

Based on MCAS test results, Westford’s school district was ranked 13th in Massachusetts in 2004, and is consistently ranked in the top 20 in every grade and subject. Westford Academy The quality of the public education is a reflection of the importance placed on the schools by the residents of the community and school administrations.  For example, Westford provides much more opportunity for parental involvement and interaction with teachers and principals than most school systems.

There are 5,120 students in the Westford school system, which includes 3 primary elementary schools (grades K-2), 3 upper elementary schools (grades 3-5), 2 middles schools, and one high school.  In addition to standard academic subjects, the Westford schools provide broad support programs including art, music, physical education, school libraries, technology, guidance, and academic challenge opportunities.  The teachers continually upgrade their skills by taking graduate courses and attending professional development seminars.
